The “Wow! signal” of the terrestrial genetic code
Valadimir I. shCherbak und Maxim A. Makukov argumentieren, dass der
genetische Code (nicht das Genom!) von einer Intelligenz programmiert wurde, also nicht zufällig entstanden ist. Sie entdeckten ein intelligentes Signal (oder Signatur) in den Genen. Ein solches intelligentes Signal weist Kennzeichen auf, die ihrerseits auch nur von einer Intelligenz erkannt werden können. Solche Signale sind für die eigentliche Funktion des genetischen Codes nicht nötig. Bei den von shCherbak und Makukov entdeckten Signalen scheint die
Zahl 37 immer wieder aufzutauchen. shCherbak und Makukov argumentieren mit der Zuordnung von
Codons zu
Aminosäuren.
In
The Wow Signal schreiben die Autoren Vladimir I. shCherbak und Maxim A. Makukov:
[…] The [genetic] code is a flexible mapping between codons and amino acids [… and] code might stay unchanged over cosmological timescales. Thus, it represents a reliable storage for an intelligent signature, if that conforms to biological and thermodynamic requirements. As the actual scenario for the origin of terrestrial life is far from being settled, the proposal that it might have been seeded intentionally cannot be ruled out. A statistically strong signal in the genetic code is then a testable consequence of such scenario. Here we show that the terrestrial code displays a thorough precision orderliness matching the criteria to be considered an informational signal. […]
Einige Merkmale sind:
- Die molekulare Masse der Aminosäurenstruktur, die bei allen Aminosäuren gleich ist, ist 74 (=2*37).
- Die(?) 28 Kodone haben eine totales molekulare Masse von 1665 (=45*37)
- Eine Seitenkette dieser Kodone ist offenbar 703 (=19 * 37) Molekularmassen schwer.
