F5 toggles the Navigator and corresponds to the menu View -> Navigator

Assigning keyboard shortcuts to styles

Tools -> customize

Below Functions, Category, find Styles (last item in list box). Open. Choose Character, Paragraph, Frame, Pages or Numbering.

Styles are then found under Function. Choose style, click into Shortcut Keys box, select shortcut key.

(Un-) Docking Windows

Either

ctrl-Mouse Click on grey area in window to be docked
ctrl+shift+F10

Removing check boxes

In order to remove check boxes, the document needs to be in Design Mode: Menu Edit -> Design Mode.
