Oracle: Init parameter PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET

If the value pga_aggregate_target is not set to 0, Oracle sets it to the greater value of 20% of the size of the SGA or 10 MB.
If the value is nonzero, the value of workarea_size_policy is automatically set to auto.

Recommended value for PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET

MOS Note 223730.1 recommends to set the value of pga_aggregate_target to the following percentage of the memory available to Oracle (i. e. memory not used by the OS and non-Oracle processes):
