net user

Create a new user account

The following command creates a user account named John with the password JohnsLittleSecret.

C:\> net user John JohnsLittleSecret /add

If the user is to be added to a local group, this can be done with net localgroup groupName John /add.

List all users in the current domain

C:\> net user /domain

Query a particular user in the domain

net user USERNAME /domain allows to query interesting information such as the date and time of the last logon etc.

C:\> net user paolo.brunegg /domain
The request will be processed at a domain controller for domain tsuri.ch.corp.
