System.Management.Automation.ErrorCategory (enum)

Error categories allow to group errors.
A cmdlets or providers chooeses from an error category when an error record is generated.
A user can view errors based on category when setting $errorView to CategoryView.

Displaying available error categories

The available error categories can be displayed in PowerShell with the following pipeline:
