$ORACLE_HOME/root.sh

This script must be run as root to complete an installation.

The content of root.sh is modified when other products are installed into an Oracle home. Oracle therefore recommends to back up this script after completing an installation.

This script runs script such as

• $ORACLE_HOME/install/utl/rootmacro.sh
• $ORACLE_HOME/install/utl/rootinstall.sh
• $ORACLE_HOME/install/root_schagent.sh
• $ORACLE_HOME/network/install/sqlnet/setowner.sh
• $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/install/rootadd_rdbms.sh
• $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/install/rootadd_filemap.sh
