The integration technologies (IT) can be used to automate and distribute processing tasks over different servers. IT allows to develop client programs that access and/or connect to SAS. Thus, it's possible to manipulate data stored in SAS and to execute the SAS procedural language.
Apparently, Integration Object Model (IOM) is used synonymously for Integration Technologies.
IT is heavliy geared towards the Windows plattform.
itconfig.exe seems to be the configuration utility for IT.
