Oracle history

1977 Larry Ellison, Bob Miner and Ed Oates started a consultancy called Software Development Laboratories (SDL). SDL developed the original version of the Oracle software.
1979: the first commercially available RDBMS
Employee number 4 of SDL was Bruce Scott whose cat was named Tiger. Hence, the password tiger for the known schema scott.
